Jonathan is a travel expert who has spent the past two decades exploring the cultures of Asia and sharing them with the world. He delights in working with travelers both in trip planning and during the journey itself.

At Blue Silk Travel, Jonathan assisted in the company's growth from its earliest start-up phase to becoming Mongolia's most respected tour operator. Jonathan founded Strondes to bring the high level of personalized travel planning for which Blue Silk Travel is famous to travelers planning trips across the globe and to the edge of space.

Jonathan is fascinated by the intersection of sustainable development, tourism and culture. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst^® designation, holds a B.A. from Yale University, served in the Peace Corps in rural Mongolia, and is a proud lifelong Clevelander.
